Goods Train Derails In Mathura, Restoration Work Of Tracks Underway

Mathura, January 22 (TNA) 15 coaches of a cement-laden goods train derailed between Bateshwar and Vrindavan on Mathura-Delhi rail route in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh late on Friday night. This train was coming from Delhi to Agra. Due to this accident, all the trains coming towards Mathura have been diverted.

Important trains including Rajdhani Shatabdi, weekly train Yuva Special coming from Mumbai have been diverted on separate routes to reach Delhi. A formidable problem has arisen in front of the passengers alighting at Mathura railway station. Railway administration is working on war footing to remove coaches from the track.

Restoration work is being done on the spot. Accident relief trains have also been dispatched from Delhi, Agra, Tundla and Jhansi immediately.
