Four Killed, Six Injured In Bahraich As Speeding Car Crashes Into Roadside Tree
BAHRAICH || Four persons were killed and six seriously injured in a road mishap in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh in the wee hours of Wednesday, police said. The accident took place when a speeding car lost control and crashed into a roadside tree near Rampurwa on the Bahraich-Sitapur highway at around 4 am.
Three people died instantaneously on the spot while one died at a medical facility, where he was rushed for treatment with severe injuries. Six others, also seriously injured, have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
The accident took place when a speeding car lost control and crashed into a roadside tree near Rampurwa on the Bahraich-Sitapur highway at around 4 am.
According to information available, the ill-fated vehicle was on its way back from Haridwar and was headed to the occupants home in Siddharthnagar district.
The deceased include a ten-year-old girl and a woman. Based on the information given to police, on a phone that was recovered from the car, the vehicle carried Ankit, Sangeeta, Vishal, Chhoti, Neeta Devi, Rita Devi, Vikas and the driver.
The family has been informed and a clear cut identification would only be possible on their arrival, an official told The News Agency over phone. Bodies have since been taken to the mortuary.
