Dengue Claims Two UP Police Personnel In Two Days In Agra

Agra, Oct 16 (TNA) Dengue has claimed two constables of the Uttar Pradesh Police in the last two days even as the disease continues to ravage many parts of the state. more than two-dozen cops have been taken ill as well in the Taj city alone.

On Friday, a female constable of Bulandshahr, Premlata (41) died at Goyal City Hospital in Yamunapar. Only a day earlier, constable Sonu Kumar, posted at Etmad-ud-Daula police station, died due to dengue, sending jitters in the police force.

SSP Muniraj while confirming that many of his men were down with dengue, he said special cleanliness drives had been undertaken in police stations and barracks and anti-larval fogging was also being done. Mosquito nets have also been installed in barracks
