CBI Takes Over Probe Into Sanchit Yadav Kidnapping And Murder Case

Kanpur, Oct 12 (TNA) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case into the kidnapping and murder of lab technician Sanjit Yadav. The premiere investigative agency will now investigate the crime, which had sent shock waves in Kanpur in June last year. Dissatisfied with the ongoing probe and doubting the police role, the family had for long being seeing a CBI probe.

Sanjit Yadav, a lab technician living in Barra five of ​​Kanpur, was kidnapped on 22 June 2020. On June 29, 2020, the family got a call for ransom. The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh. The relatives informed the police, the number from which the kidnappers demanded ransom was put on surveillance by the police.

Even after this, nothing was known of Sanjit. The ransom amount was paid by the family under the supervision of the police but the kidnappers had killed Sanjeet on the fourth day of the kidnapping. Police have not found his body till date.
