BSP Leader Akash Anand Attacks Modi Govt On Spike In LPG prices

Lucknow, Nov 1 (TNA) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Akash Anand on Monday attacked the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre over the sustained price hike of cooking gas.

In a tweet, Anand, who is the national coordinator of the BSP and nephew of former UP chief minister Mayawati, said for the sixth consecutive day, the prices of LPG have been hiked.

The reckless spiral of prices has derailed the domestic budget of the common man, he further said while pointing out that in Delhi the LPG cylinder was now costing Rs 2000.

Rather than their wierd responses, the government should seriously respond to the situation and give the much provided relief to the common man, he said further.

The prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cooking gas were hiked by Rs ₹266 from Monday onwards. Commercial cylinders of the 19 kg in Delhi will cost ₹2000.50 from today onwards which was costing ₹1734 earlier.

However, in relief to household consumers, no increase were announced in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.
