BJP Lawmaker Kamlesh Paswan, Six Others Sentenced To Jail Term In 2008 Case

Gorakhpur, Nov 27 (TNA) BJP MP Kamlesh Paswan and his six colleagues have sentenced to 18 months of jail for blocking a road and disrupting traffic. In 2008, the BJP MP from Bansgaon were protesting against the arrest of Samajwadi Party (SP) leaders Shivpal Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav at the medical college gate.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Prabhash Tripathi has also imposed a fine of two thousand rupees for being found guilty of protesting against the rules. The court granted bail to the MP and his associates on the spot. On the other hand, MP Kamlesh Paswan says that he will challenge the court's decision in the High Court.

Other who have awarded jail term include Ramvriksh Yadav, Mahesh Paswan, Chandresh Paswan, Ram Asare, Sunil Paswan and Khudus alias Ghuhus.
