Assistant Account At Treasury Arrested For Taking Bribe In Sant Kabeer Nagar

Sant Kabir Nagar, January 18 (TNA) An Anti-Corruption team on Tuesday arrested Awadhesh Mishra, Assistant Accountant of the Treasury red-handed while he was taking a bribe. The team has taken the arrested accused assistant accountant to the Kotwali.

The complainant, Rajnish Rai, a resident of Khajo village in Dhanghata area, had informed the anti-graft department that his father Late Jeet Bahadur Rai was a head constable in the Assam Police.

After his father died in 2014 after retirement, his mother Indravati Rai was getting pension. Awadhesh Mishra, an assistant accountant posted in the Treasury, however was demanding a bribe of Rs 20 thousand to pay his mother arrears of Rs 1,24,520, the complainant had said.
