Another Body Blow To Media, Veteran Scribe Tavishi Srivastava Dies Of COVID

Lucknow, April 19 (TNA) The media world in Lucknow was rendered another body blow on Sunday with the death of senior journalist Tavishi Srivastava. One of the senior-most scribes in Pioneer, she was an ever smiling and always helping journalist who handheld many a journalists in their formative years.

She died of COVID and the sad part being she battled to find a bed for herself even as bigwigs in the state government and the bureaucracy tried their best. And by the time one bed was arranged she passed away after developing acute breathlessness.

Senior journalists and many a journalist bodies mourned the demise of Tavishi and recalled her grace and expertise in covering politics of the state.

President of the UP Accredited Journalists Association Hemant Tiwari, secretary Shiv Saran Singh were among the long list of media persons who paid tributes to the deceased journalist. The media world has been jolted with the death of four of its own in a span of a few days.

Ankit Shukla of Dainik Jagran, Himashu Joshi, former bureau chief of UNI, Sacchidanand Gupta 'Sacche' passed away only last week due to Coronavirus infection.
