All Eight BJP Candidates Cruise Unopposed In Rajya Sabha Biennial Polls, SP-BSP Also Get One Each

LUCKNOW || All the eight candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) field for the biennial Rajya Sabha polls were elected unopposed on Monday and the winning certificates handed over to them. One member each of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) were also elected.

BJP candidates include former UP director general of police (DGP) Brij Lal, son of former prime minister Chandra Shekhar; Neeraj Shekhar, Arun Singh, union civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Haridwar Dubey, Geeta Shakya, Seema Dwivedi and BL Verma, a close protege of former UP chief minister Kalyan Singh.

Samajwadi Party's Ram Gopal Yadav and BSP's Ramji Gautam were also elected unopposed.
