After Heavy Rains In UP, Chief Minister Asks For Prompt Survey Of Damage To Crops, Loss Of Human And Cattle Lives

Lucknow, March 20 (TNA) As heavy rains the state capital Lucknow and many other parts of the state since the wee hours of Monday, the chief ministers office swung into action in the morning, with all district magistrates and other senior officials in the government tasked with assessing the crop damage due to the untimely rains.

The Relief Commissioner and Principal Secretary Urban Develpment have also been asked to work the wires and find out how much damage has taken place to the crops, loss of human and cattle lives through proper survey on the ground.

Once the survey is expeditiously done, compensation and relief should also be rolled out with immediate effect, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has said. Heavy rains and hail have hit the farmers hard while many places in towns and cities have been inundated and power outages have been reported.
