59 Of The 75 Districts In UP Reported No New Covid Cases In Last 24-Hours

Lucknow, August 25 (TNA) 59 of the 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh have not reported a single case of the dreaded Coronavirus in the past 24-hours, a state government spokesman said on Wednesday. According to the latest status of Covid, there are zero active cases in 16 districts of the state. In Aligarh, Auraiya, Badayun, Bijnor, Deoria, Etah, Farrukhabad, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Kanpur Dehat, Mahoba, Sant Kabirnagar, Shahjahanpur and Unnao districts, there is not a single patient of Kovid left today.

In the testing done in the last 24 hours, not a single new case of infection was found in 59 districts, while in unit digit patients were found in only 16 districts. At present, the total number of active Covid cases in the state is 345. Government officials have however wared people against any laxity as the virus is still around and that the pandemic was still not over.

On an average, 2.5 lakh tests are being done every day, while the positivity rate remains 0.01 and the recovery rate is 98.6 percent. In the last 24-hours, 01 lakh 87 thousand 218 Covid samples were examined and 22 new patients were confirmed. In the same period, 28 patients were healthy and discharged. So far, 16 lakh 86 thousand 34 people of the state have become healthy after getting free from corona infection.

In Uttar Pradesh, the figure of Covid vaccination has crossed 06 crore 52 lakh 23 thousand. Last day 9 lakh 76 thousand 703 people got vaccine-cover. So far, more than 05.48 million citizens have received at least one dose of the vaccine to protect against Covid. This is the highest number of vaccinations done in any single state in the country.
