Ghaziabad has reported 156 fresh cases but thankfully no deaths in the past one day while Prayagraj has reported 175 new cases and five more deaths
LUCKNOW || The dreaded Coronavirus continues to rage in the state capital of Uttar Pradesh, claiming lives of a dozen more people in the last 24-hours, officials said. The death toll due to COVID in Lucknow now stands at 228. The city also logged 514 new cases of COVID in the last one day. So far Lucknow has 7170 active cases while 10806 have been discharged so far.
Neighbouring Kanpur city continued to be battered by the virus as 14 deaths have been reported in the last 24-hours and 261 new cases, So far 323 people have lost their lives in Kanpur city alone since the outbreak.
The death toll in Prayagraj now stands at 107. Noida, once one of the worst affected seems to be on the improvement course with jus 54 new cases reported and no deaths since Monday. Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi has seen 148 new cases and three deaths. The toll in the temple town now is 128.
Gorakhpur, the home town of chief minister Yogi Adityanath has 267 new cases and two deaths taking the number of casualties to 88. Other districts of the state which continue to get new cases in large numbers include Aligarh (100), Bareilly (130), Moradabad (103), Kushinagar (137). Total 4336 new cases have been reported from across the state in one day and 77 people have perished to the virus, that has killed millions across the globe.
