14-year-old Student Killed In Prayagraj As Miscreants Set Off Crude Bomb
Prayagraj, July 5 (TNA) A 14-year-old boy was killed in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday. He was passing by in Lohra Village of Sarai Inayat police station when two miscreants threw a crude bomb as part of their testing plan.
A shrapnel hit his neck and he bled to death, an official told TNA. Identified as Shubham (14), he passed away on way to hospital owing to excessive blood loss. Police has arrested one miscreant.
The deceased was son of Vinod Kumar Bhartiya, resident of Babuganj Girdharpur village, falling under Phulpur police station.
Shubham Kumar studied at his maternal uncle Arvind's house. For the last two years, he lived in Lohra village and was a student of class eight at Hanumant Inter College, Hanumanganj. He was very good in studies and his death has shocked the entire village as he was very well natured too, a villager informed.
Police have arrested one accused. Inspector Rakesh Chaurasia of Sarai Inayat police station said that two youths of the village had set off some crude bombs on the wall when this incident happened. A case has been registered against both and a search is underway for the second accused.
