UP Single Window Industries Portal Wins SKOCH Governance Award Gold

NEW DELHI/LUCKNOW || ‘Nivesh Mitra’, the Single Window Portal of Uttar Pradesh for issuing clearances to industries has been awarded the prestigious SKOCH Award ‘Gold’ at New Delhi on Thursday evening. The award has been given in ‘Governance – Gold’ category for excellent online interface provided to investors and industrialists for setting up and running their units and enterprises in the State.

The award was received by Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department and Executive Director of Udyog Bandhu, Santosh K Yadav from Chairman of Skoch Group, Sameer Kochar. The upgraded version of Nivesh Mitra portal was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the UP Investors’ Summit on February 21, 2018.

Yadav informed that 65,000 enterprises have registered on the single window portal for industries since the launch of upgraded Nivesh Mitra. He said that 57,000 applications have been filed through it, while around 45,000 clearances, including NoCs and licences, have been issued so far since its launch in Feb 2018.

As a result of the strengthening of Single Window Portal “Nivesh Mitra”, now it is possible to submit online applications from anywhere anytime through Common Application Form (CAF). End-to-end computerization has been done of 20 departments that provide 118 services to businesses through Nivesh Mitra.

Comprehensive procedures for checklists, applying, departmental procedures for a grant for all pre & post establishment No-objection certificates (NoCs), licenses, registrations and other mandatory approvals have been made available online in Nivesh Mitra.

Know your approvals and Incentives’ facility through an interactive information wizard has been provided in Nivesh Mitra. For speedy and hassle-free licensing approvals, Government of Uttar Pradesh has mandated appropriate regulations, like departments can raise queries only once within 7days of receiving of application on Nivesh Mitra. All Applications relating to enterprises are to be accepted through Nivesh Mitra only. The timelines for each service are defined.
