UP Roadways Buses Now Cut Tickets To ‘Ayodhya Dham’

LUCKNOW || In case you are planning to head to Ayodhya, then this time the ticket to ride might bear the name of Ayodhya Dham. The decision to use the name for the holy city has been taken under the directions of MD UPSRTC, Rajshekhar. To stick to the practice necessary changes have also been made in the software of the ticket vending system.

In an order issued by Rajasekhar, MD, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation the name of the Ayodhya bus station was renamed as Ayodhya Dham. After the necessary amendment in the software, the ticket for the Ayodhya bus depot at the district headquarters is now being printed as Ayodhya and the ticket for Ram Nagari Ayodhya is in the name of Ayodhya Dham.

Saints, Mahant’s of Ayodhya have been demanding for a long time that Ram Nagari should be declared Ayodhya Dham to develop Ram Nagari in accordance with its splendour. This demand has been raised from time to time after the formation of the BJP government at the Center and the state.

Although the state and central government are yet to formally get the ball rolling on this front, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, playing a masterstroke has taken the initiative first.

Reportedly the name of Faizabad bus station located at the district headquarters has been changed to Ayodhya in the ticket of the Transport Department. While the ticket for Ram Nagri Ayodhya has been kept as Ayodhya Dham.

It would be pertinent to mention that after the formation of Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in the state, Faizabad District and Faizabad division was renamed as Ayodhya under the new regime. Also, Allahabad district and Mandal were renamed as Prayagraj.

Roadways department changed the name of Faizabad depot to Ayodhya depot after the state government issued information that the name of Faizabad and Allahabad District First Division was changed.
