LUCKNOW || The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday declared the Coronavirus pandemic a “calamity” and notified it as the same, an official said. Governor Anandiben Patel has signed the orders after which the state government notified it.
Kerala and Odisha have already declared it a calamity. The notification was issued by the additional chief secretary Renuka Kumar.
The state government has already unveiled a host of steps on war footing to take on the menace of COVID-19. All the 75 districts of the state have been under lockdown for the past two days.
