LUCKNOW || The Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has issued directions to all District Magistrates to ensure that monthly district-level Udyog Bandhu meetings are held under their chairmanship, an official said on Saturday.
Referring to an earlier government order in this regard, the top bureaucrat said that it is the responsibility of District Magistrates to chair the district-level Udyog Bandhu meetings every month regularly. And the minutes of these meetings have to be sent to Division and State-level Udyog Bandhu as well as to the Directorate of Industries by the last day of each month.
The Chief Secretary issued these directions to all District Magistrates through a government order. It is mentioned in the order that it had been observed by the government that junior level officers were chairing these district level Udyog Bandhu meetings instead of District Magistrates.
Principal Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development Alok Kumar informed that industry issues and grievances of entrepreneurs are resolved at these meetings. It may be noted that Udyog Bandhu is State government’s investment facilitation agency at district, division and state level.
