LUCKNOW || The Uttar Pradesh cabinet on Tuesday approved a proposal of laying the Metro Rail line from sector 71 Noida to the greater Noida Knowledge Park, an official said. This segment would be 15-km long.
At a cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government also ratified a proposal to declare a ‘zero period’ for builders in Noida and Greater Noida whose projects were stuck up due to government reasons.
These reasons include non-availability of land, problems in policy or some other roadblocks due to the UP government machinery. During the zero period their loan interest would be waived off. This facility would only be available to those builders who pass on the benefits to late buyers and will give the possession to the flat owners by June 2021. Officials responsible for the delays would also be acted upon.
In all 34 proposals, including the extension of the city limits of Lucknow, Siddhartha Nagar, Varanasi, Sitapur, Jalaun and Sant Kabeernagar were also approved by the state cabinet.
