LUCKNOW || Amid the growing scare of the novel Coronavirus across the globe and in India, more than 150 traders and businessmen from Uttar Pradesh have called off their trip to China. Official sources informed that from Jhansi alone, more than five dozen businessmen were scheduled to go to the neighbouring country but the outbreak of Coronavirus in some Chinese cities have forced them to abort their travel plans.
A prominent businessman who was going to Chine to finalise a multi-crore furniture deal has decided to postpone his travel due to the threat of the virus, which so far has no treatment available. Not wishing to be named he informed that he will now have to delay the project or look for alternatives.
Sources said that a large number of businessmen from Bundelkhand had a fancy for Chinese stuff and that they were regular visitors to China in the past. Furniture, electrical appliances, plywood and glass items were on their shopping list. Businessmen headed fro Hongkong ave also shelves their travel plans for now.
“Pleasure and business certainly cannot take priority over health” mused a local businessman.
