LUCKNOW || The Uttar Pradesh unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) tore into the Yogi Adityanath government over the multicore PF scam in the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) and alleged that the guilty were being protected and small official made scapegoats.
In a statement, Vaibhav Maheshwari, the state spokesman of the AAP said that the BJP government was trying to fool people by accusing the predecessor government of the Rs 2268 crore scam.
“The top brass of the ruling party is involved in the scam” the leader alleged while adding that without the sacking go power minister Srikant Sharma, there can be no free and fair probe into the whole matter, which has jeopardised the future of thousands of UPPCL workers.
Warning the government to ensure that not a single penny of the hard earned money of the employees is lost, Maheshwari said the Yogi Adityanath government should guarantee that no money of the UPPCL employees will be gone.
The AAP leader also ridiculed the allegation of Srikant Sharma that the script of the scam was written in the regime of the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) government. “This is his old habit and trick to pass on the buck of all wrong doings to the predecessor government”, the leader stated further.
