Addressing an event in Mathura, the vocal Rajya Sabha member said that in case the Rampur MP Mohd Azam Khan “came in the way of the Bill he will be sent behind bars under the National Security Act“.

The leader further said that the Bill was Modi governments commitment and resolve to the Muslim women for their protection and empowerment.

Reacting to Khan’s statement that Muslims only believe in Quran and that the Triple Talaaq Bill will be opposed by SP lawmakers. “Women in the Muslim community too have rights and Azam Khan has no right to stop this” he mused.
