LUCKNOW || With the dreaded Coronavirus refusing to go and in facts reading its wings in some districts of the country, the union ministry of health and family welfare has sent central public health teams to as many as 20 districts, an official informed.
These teams have been formed and are being sent to the 20 districts that are reporting the maximum number of COVID-19 cases in the country, the official further added.
The Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow and the Taj city Agra, which has reported a large spike in the COVID-19 cases, also figure in this list.
Other districts include Mumbai, Pune, Thane in Maharashtra, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat in Gujarat, south-east and central Delhi, Indore, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Jaipur, Jodhpur in Rajasthan, Chennai in Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad in Telangana, Kolkata in West Bengal, Kurnool, Krishna and Guntur districts in Andhra Pradesh.
These teams will support the states in the implementation of containment measures for COVID-19 in the affected areas within these districts and or cities. The teams shall assist the State Governments.
