Six Vegetable Vendors Killed In Road Mishap In Etawah

ETAWAH || Six persons were killed late on Tuesday in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh when the vehicle they were in collided with a truck, police said. The mishap took place at the national highway. All the deceased were vegetable vendors. They were bringing a bulk consignment of jackfruit for sale at New Sabzi Mandi in Etawah when the mishap took place.

One person – Monu, has been critically injured. The deceased have been identified as Raju, Jagdish, Jageshwar, Rajesh Yadav. Pappu and Brajesh.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives in the road mishap and has announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased.

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has also condoled the deaths and announced an ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each to the families who have lost their near and dear ones in the road accident.
