LUCKNOW || In yet another tragedy at the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, six persons were killed late on Monday night when a busy jumped lanes and hit a Fortuner coming from the other side, police said. The dead include a Delhi leader Surjeet Singh, who contested the recently concluded state assembly elections. He had fought against Manish Sisodia from Padpadganj.
The bus belonged to a Bihar State Transport Corporation and apparently the driver dozed off and hit the SUV coming from the other side. All five persons in age Fortuner car were killed instantly on the spot. The bus driver also died and 15 passengers on the bus were also killed.
The car is in the name of Delhi resident Sunita Singh and was headed from Lucknow to Agra while the bus was going from Ghaziabad to Kaushambi in Bihar.
