LUCKNOW || Professor Radha Krishna Dhiman has been given the additional charge of the vice-chancellor of the King George’s Medical University, an official statement said on Monday. He is currently the director of the Sanjay Gandhi Post-graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI).
He has been given the additional charge of the KGMU as the incumbent MLB Bhatt’s tenure drew to an end on Monday. Bhatt was the head of the KGMU’s radiotherapy department and vice-dean of the medical faculty when he was named the new VC of the university in April 2017. Bhatt’s initial tenure had ended earlier but he was given an extension of three months till the naming of the new VC.
Orders of Dhiman being given the additional charge of KGMU were issued by the Raj Bhawan on Monday after governor Anandiben Patel signed them. He will hold the charge for the next three months or till the time a new VC is named.
