LUCKNOW || Continuing with his offensive against corruption and graft, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, has okayed the premature and forced retirement of seven provincial police services (PPS) personnel, reports said on Thursday. All of these were posted in different districts of the state as deputy superintendents of police (DySP’s).
They have been dismissed from service, an official spokesman further informed.
He further added that all these officers were fifty years plus and there were many complaints against them. A screening committee constituted by the state’s BJP government found them guilty of the charges levelled against them and recommended their forced and premature retirement.
The PPS officials that have been booted out include Vinod Kumar Rana ; currently posted as DySP in Faizabad, Arun Kumar (Assistant commandant in 15th PAC battalion), Tejveer Singh Yadav (33rd PAC Battalion Jhansi), Dy SP Moradabad Santosh Kumar Singh, Narendra Singh Rana (DySP Agra), Tanveer Ahmad Khan (30th PAC Battalion Gonda).
