MUMBAI || Known for his progressive approach towards many issues, scrip writer Salim Khan has urged the Muslims to built a school at the place ordered to be given to them by the Supreme Court to build a mosque in Ayodhya. Father of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, Salim Khan said that Muslims in India need schools more than a mosque.

Welcoming the Supreme Court verdict in which the entire disputed site, where once stood the Babri mosque, Salim Khan said that Islam had two great virtues and that was love and forgiveness.

He added that the SC verdict had put curtains on the long-simmering issue and that while namaaz can be offered anywhere, the need of the hour was a school and in his view, that should be built at the land which will be given to the Sunni Waqf Board in Ayodhya, a temple town in Uttar Pradesh.
