LUCKNOW || Following security concerns in wake of the Supreme Court (SC) verdict on the Ram Janma Bhoomi case, the Lucknow district administration late on Thursday deferred the annual Lucknow Mahotsava by two months.
According to an official statement, the decision to push back the annual cultural and social extravaganza was taken after the review of the security scenario, especially in wake of the much-awaited RJB verdict by the apex court.
The Mahotsava was to take place from November 25 and preparations were underway for the same. District Magistrate of the state capital, Abhishek Prakash said the decision has been taken after due deliberations among administrative and law enforcing district officials.
