LUCKNOW || Union defence minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed the preparations of the mega Defence Expo which will be held in the state capital in the first week of February. Singh and Adityanath addressed a press conference later and informed that prime minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the even on February 5.
The union minister, who is also the Lok Sabha MP from Lucknow also said that he was satisfied with the preparations undertaken by the state government and expressed hope that the Defence Expo would be historic by all means.
Officials informed that the defence expo 2020 has already logged a record 925 registrations from domestic and international companies.
The area where the booths of these companies have surpassed the previous 26744 square metres by 52 per cent to go up to 42,000 square metres. It was also informed that confirmation of 18 foreign delegations, led by their army chief or the defence minister has already been received.
The Defence Expo-2020 will be held in the state capital of Uttar Pradesh between February 5-8. Digital transformation of Defence is one of the topics in the expo.
