LUCKNOW || Following rains on Wednesday and the subsequent drop in mercury, all schools have been closed in the state capital of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, an official informed. According to the office of the district magistrate, the decision was taken following inclement weather and keeping in mind the “safety and health of children“. The order says class I to VIII would remain closed on Thursday.
An official told The News Agency that decision about the schools for Friday would be taken keeping in mind the weather conditions. According to the weatherman, rains are likely to continue till Sunday and that weather will get more chilled in the coming days.
Rain and hailstorm are likely to occur in eastern, central and western UP in the next 48-hours. Heavy rains are likely to occur in Lucknow, Amroha, Bulandshahr, Noida, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabeernagar, Basti, Faizabad, Shamli and Saharanpur.
