LUCKNOW || Following violence in some parts of Delhi over CAA which left five persons, including a police head constable dead and more than 100 injured, a state go high alert has been sounded in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh. Sources on Tuesday told The News Agency that the police has been asked to step up vigil and ensure that lumpen and anti-social are not able to create trouble.
A missive has been sent by the state’s DGP to all district police chiefs king them to be extra vigilant and to round up identified trouble makers and ensure peace, law and order at all costs.
Violence has singed parts of the union capital for the last two days and has come at a time when the world media is focussed on the national capital due to the ongoing visit of the US President Donald Trump and his family.
There have been scattered incidences of violence by mobs in Uttar Pradesh, specially Aligarh also and the state’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the police to buckle up and ensure calm, and normal law and order.
