PM Modi Reviews Situation Arising Due To Cyclone Bulbul

NEW DELHI || Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reviewed the situation in the wake of cyclone conditions and heavy rain in parts of Eastern India. He also spoke to Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee regarding the situation arising due to Cyclone Bulbul and assured all possible assistance from the Centre.

A 28-year-old chef working with the Calcutta Cricket & Football Club in Ballygunge died on Saturday morning after a tree fell on him.

Kolkata was pounded by steady rain accompanied by strong winds as cyclone Bulbul approached land, finally hitting Sagar Island around 8.30 pm before swerving northeast towards Khepupara in Bangladesh.
In the past 48 hours, the city received 104mm rain and was lashed by winds that reached a speed of 50-70kmph.
