Pace of Work On Kanpur Metro’s IIT-Moti Jheel Section Picks Up

KANPUR || The construction work on the ambitious Kanpur Metro is on at brisk pace, an official of the UP Metro Corporation said on Monday. He further added that the work on the priority 8.9 Km priority corridor of Kanpur Metro project from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur to Moti Jheel is ongoing at a rapid pace.

“Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has started casting U-Girders for the priority corridor of Kanpur Metro Rail Project in the casting yard from Monday” it was further informed.

In this connection, the first U-Girder of this section was cast around 04.00 P.M. in the casting yard.

This 27 metres long and 4.1-metre wide U-girder weighing around 150 tonnes was cast around 04:00 PM after the auspicious ‘Pooja’ in which Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, UPMRCL himself was in attendance.
