LUCKNOW || Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre, accusing it of failing to check the downslide in the Indian Economy. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a wedding function at Fatehpur, the former chief minister said the BJP showed “people pipe dreams and when in power even snatched their acche din (good days)“.
GDP has failed to a new six-year low, industries are closing down, unemployment is on a high and there seems to be no respite in near future…this government has failed miserably on all fronts, especially the economy, the 45-year-old political leader alleged. He also targeted the state government of Yogi Adityanath, saying the government had promised sweaters and shoes to school going kids but even though winters have come, this promise is yet to be fulfilled.
He added that farmers were in debt traps and were being forced to commit suicide, the law and order were in shambles and the women, girls were feeling unsafe under the present regime. Taking a dig on the name changing spree of the chief minister, Yadav urged people to write to the monk-turned-chief minister whenever they want to have a name changed.
