Man Posing As Policeman Arrested In Mainpuri, Booked For Fraud

MAINPURI || A man posing as a UP police cop was arrested in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. Named Arun Yadav, he is accused of using a fake ID card of a policeman and then extorting money from people by arm twisting them.

He has been identified as a resident of Raja ka Bagh in the city. He admitted to the police of doing many frauds in the district and committing offences of extortion.

He has been booked by the police under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and action is being initiated with the intent that it acts as a deterrent against such people in future, SP of Mainpuri, Ajay Kumar told
