PRATAPGARH || In yet another case of police brutality, a young man on Tuesday was allegedly tortured to death inside a police station in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, ta man named Sajan Shukla was picked up from his home in Chaturpur village last night by a team of policemen.
They accused him of being involved in a theft, a family member said.
He was brutally assaulted in the police station and was also subjected to third-degree torture in order to get him to admit a crime, his family said he had not committed. He succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning.
The victim’s brother Avnish Kumar Mishra who is a teacher by profession has accused the police of his brother’s death.
