LUCKNOW || At times when black marketers have a sure shot chance to fleece the general public, the state is pulling all stops to ensure that they do not have a field day.
Anyone who is trying to make profits through black marketing during the lockdown is now in the watch of the Food and Civil Supplies Department that has issued a toll-free helpline number 18001800150 to stop black marketing and hoarding of food items, such as cereals, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, beverages and other essential commodities.
Additional Food Commissioner Sunil Kumar Verma of the Controller Division has said, “The Department of Weights and Measures has issued a toll-free helpline number 18001800300, any person can call this number without any hesitation.”
Meanwhile, the State training institutes will not be evacuated. Such training centres will not be evacuated even if training programs are not being conducted in any centre.
There is no shortage of essential commodities like fruits and vegetables, for this, vehicles of farmers and traders carrying vegetables and fruits will not be stopped. Vehicles of officers and employees of Mandi Council and Market Committees engaged in essential services will also not be stopped.
Home delivery will be done, for which such hotels, restaurants and box food will be promoted, but special care will be taken that common people should not be able to congregate in these places.
