Dip In Coronavirus Deaths In India For 8th Consecutive Day

NEW DELHI || After months of despair on the Coronavirus situation, there finally seems to be some ray of hope emerging. According to health ministry data, less than 1,000 coronavirus deaths have been reported in the past eight consecutive days and the recoveries are increasing steadily.

Health officials also informed that the country is also witnessing remarkable recovery rate, with more than 60 lakh recoveries till now, since the outbreak. Similarly active cases of COVID-19 are less than nine lakh for the third day in a row.

With increasing recoveries, the officials underlined, India has sustained its leading global position with the maximum recovered cases. Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Randeep Guleria has been quoted by some sections of the media as saying that while the trends were encouraging, he added a word of caution saying that one should wait for at least two more weeks to conclude that India was past the Coronavirus peak.

He also added that the coming festive season of Dusshehra, Durga Puja, Diwali when overcrowding at public places and movement of people will increase manifold, the other thing to be vigilant is the coming winters, a season which routinely involves breathing problems, lung issues and respiratory ailments.
