Delegates From Jhabua Visit Sulabh Campus In New Delhi

New Delhi, June 13 (TNA) A group of 14 delegates of Shivganga, Jhabua, M.P, led by Satyajit Patel and sponsored by National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, Government of India, visited Sulabh Campus in the union capital on Sunday. The guests were warmly welcomed and taken to the Sulabh Public School, where they keenly observed the Sulabh School Sanitation Club students learning to make sanitary pads.

Sulabh takes pride in mentioning that the guests showed keen interest in visiting the Sulabh International Museum of Toilets which has a rare collection of unique artifacts, pictures and objects, detailing the eye-opening, historic evolution of toilets from 2500 BC to date.

They also keenly observed the models of Sulabh’s innovative technology-based twin-pit pour-flush toilets; Public toilet linked biogas plant, Sulabh Water ATM which provides affordable and cheap water to the neighborhood, Sulabh Health Centre and the Kitchen, using methane of the biogas plant as fuel.

The guests had an intensive interaction with Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder, Sulabh Sanitation, Social Reform, Health & Hygiene and Human Rights Movement. It was followed by a very educative Q&A session with the delegates. He applauded the efforts of Shivganga to empower the rural youth and to achieve a holistic rural development. They paid their heartfelt respects to him and he blessed them to strive to achieve great heights in life.
