COVID-19: Uttarakhand To Screen Visitors From Maharashtra, MP, Gujarat, And Chattisgarh

Dehradun, February 23 (TNA) In view of the growing COVID cases in states like Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chattisgarh, and Maharashtra, the Uttarakhand government will now be screening people coming from these states, an official said on Tuesday.

According to information available, the decision has been taken at the highest level, after a spike in Coronavirus cases in these states.

With the Maha Kumbh and the festival of Holi next month, these precautions are being taken, officials said. The hill state has been successful in containing the pandemic, which has wrecked havoc in some other pats of the country and the world.

Uttarakhand chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and many in the political and administrative areas had been infected in the past few months.
