Hoardings With Names Of CAA Riot Accused Put Up On Lucknow Roads

LUCKNOW || in a first-of-its-kind move, the Uttar Pradesh government has put up pictures of riot-accused in different parts of the state capital. These pictures carried on hoardings at prominent places of the city, mentions, names, residential addresses and pictures of people who have been charged by the state government of their complicity and active role in riots during CA protests late last year.

The people named on the hoardings have also been asked to pay up compensation for damage to public property in Lucknow during the violence, in which one person died.

The hoardings say if the accused fail to pay up soon, their property will be attached. Sources say the hoardings have been put after “specific instructions” from the monk-tuned-chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.
