Mumbai, October 18 (TNA) Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after three motorcycle-borne men allegedly opened fire at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, police said. The incident took place near Pushpa Park as Shroff was leaving a football ground after playing a match.

According to preliminary reports, the assailants fired three to four rounds at the actor’s vehicle before fleeing the spot.

Mumbai Police confirmed that Shroff was not hit and did not suffer any gunshot injuries. His driver and another person, identified in reports as an autorickshaw driver, were injured during the firing and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The firing occurred amid a crowd gathered near the ground to catch a glimpse of the actor. Police are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to establish the sequence of events and identify the attackers.

The Juhu police have registered a case and launched a search operation for the suspects. Mumbai Police deployed multiple teams in the area as investigators began checking possible escape routes and the assailants’ movements.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke with Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharati and directed the authorities to investigate the incident and take strict action against those responsible.

An audio message circulated after the incident in which a person purportedly claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly took responsibility. Police have not yet independently verified the claims.
