New Delhi, September 13 (TNA) The 83rd edition of the Venice Film Festival wrapped up on September 12 at night, with Danish drama Woman Unknown taking home the Golden Lion, while South Korean, Russian, American and Israeli films also picked up major honours.
The Golden Lion winner Woman Unknown also earned the Best Actress award for Mathilde Arcel, while the Silver Lion went to South Korean director Lee Chang-dong for Possible Love. Russian-born director Ilya Khrzhanovsky won Best Director for DAU. John Malkovich won Best Actor for his role in the dark comedy Wild Horse Nine.
Israeli journalists Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor’s Gaza documentary NAZA won the Special Jury Prize after receiving a 25-minute standing ovation at its premiere.
