Kyiv, September 2 (TNA) Russia has launched a sixth consecutive day of air strikes on Kyiv and the surrounding region, in the deadliest attack there in several days. Ukrainian authorities say at least 13 people have been killed and more than two dozen injured.
Eight people, including three children, were killed in Kyiv, while four others died in Boryspil. Missile strikes damaged a five-storey apartment building there, with 48 residents evacuated and two people pulled from the rubble.
A separate ballistic missile strike on a Kyiv railway depot killed seven people, including six railway employees. Fires were reported across the capital and surrounding areas. Russia also reported drone attacks, including a fire at Ust-Luga port.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on advancing peace efforts and encouraging Russia to move toward ending the war.
He said intelligence assessments and signals from Russia still indicate that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to continue the conflict, but added that September could bring significant changes.
