South Bank, England, August 22 (TNA) Multiple people have died following a collision involving a police vehicle in South Bank, Teesside, in the early hours of Saturday morning, Cleveland Police has confirmed.

The crash occurred at around 3:39 am on the A66, involving a police vehicle and a Volkswagen Passat. A Cleveland Police spokesperson later confirmed that a third vehicle was also involved, describing it as a serious road traffic incident involving three vehicles.
"Sadly, the collision has resulted in multiple fatalities," a Cleveland Police spokesperson said. "There are significant emergency vehicles on the scene, and the road will remain closed for some time."

Scene and Response

A significant emergency service presence remains at the scene, with the A66 closed in both directions between Normanby Road and Church Lane. The road has been shut for several hours since the crash and is expected to remain closed for some time as investigations continue.
