Jackson, Tennessee, August 23 (TNA) A 56-year-old man from Gujarat, identified as Suresh Patel, was shot dead during an armed robbery attempt at a store in the US state of Tennessee, according to police and media reports. The suspect reportedly entered the business, demanded cash, and opened fire after taking money from an employee.
Police said they responded to the robbery-and-shooting call around 9 pm, and witnesses described the attacker as an unidentified man who brandished a weapon before firing multiple shots. Patel, who had moved to the US about 30 years ago and was running the store, was found dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet announced an arrest.
