Lucknow, September 28 (TNA) Lucknow has recorded more than 185.4 mm of rainfall over the past four days, pushing the city’s total monsoon rainfall to 846.6 mm, according to weather data. The figure is 25 per cent above the normal rainfall of 675.7 mm recorded between June 1 and September 27.
The recent spell of heavy rain has significantly increased the seasonal rainfall total. Lucknow has received 170.9 mm more rain than the normal average for this period. After several days of rain, the city woke up to bright sunshine on Monday. However, partly cloudy conditions may develop during the day, and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers are possible, the weather office said.
The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 29 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may settle at about 22 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has not issued any warning for the Lucknow region.
The prolonged rain had earlier brought down daytime temperatures sharply, with the city recording temperatures several degrees below normal during the intense spell. Light rain and drizzle were also reported in parts of Lucknow after the heavier showers eased.
