Lucknow, September 15 (TNA) The city of Lucknow will host a commemorative programme on the birth anniversary of social worker and educationist Vidushi Sita Mishra, featuring the presentation of the "Vidushi Sita Mishra Seva Samman-2026" along with a cultural evening titled "Lok Rang." The event is scheduled for Tuesday at 4 pm at Nirala Sabhagar, U.P. Hindi Sansthan, Hazratganj, Lucknow (opposite the DM residence).
This year's Seva Samman will be conferred upon Professor Seema Singh, former Vice-Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, in recognition of her contributions to education.
The programme will be presided over by Ram Ji Bhai, a senior writer, social thinker, and senior RSS pracharak. The Mayor of Lucknow, Sushma Kharkwal, will attend as chief guest.
A distinguished list of special guests is expected to grace the occasion, including MLC Shri Pawan Singh Chauhan; Uttar Pradesh State Information Commissioner Dr Dilip Agnihotri; senior IAS officer Dr Chandrabhushan Tripathi; noted economist Prof. A. P. Lok Rang: An Evening of Dialogue, Poetry, and Music
- Alongside the felicitation ceremony, the event will feature "Lok Rang," a cultural segment structured around three parts:
- A panel discussion (Paricharcha) on the theme "Family and Values" (Parivar aur Sanskar), moderated by Professor Seema Singh.
- A poetry gathering (Kavya Goshthi) featuring invited poets Dr Jagdish Awasthi, Manuvrat Vajpeyi, Akhil Anand, and Devesh Dwivedi.
- Folk and devotional singing, performed by Ravishankar and fellow artists, followed by a collective rendition of Vande Mataram and light refreshments (Swalpahar).
