Lucknow, September 4 (TNA) The Lucknow Farmers Market is set to host its latest edition, themed "Sustainable September," on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Habibullah Estate in Hazratganj. The event, which will run from 3 pm to 9 pm, has been organised in celebration of Teachers' Day and aims to bring together sustainability, local craftsmanship, and community engagement under one roof.

A Tribute to Educators

This special edition of the market has been curated as a tribute to teachers, with organisers planning a dedicated felicitation segment to honour educators for their contribution to society. The initiative reflects the market's effort to weave civic and cultural themes into its regular offerings of organic produce, handicrafts, and lifestyle products.

Sustainability at the Core

A key highlight of the day will be the launch of the "30 Days, 30 Actions, Big Impact" sustainability challenge, organised in collaboration with FICCI FLO Lucknow. The initiative is designed as an interactive call to action, encouraging residents to adopt small, consistent environmental habits over the course of a month.

The market has also partnered with sustainability-focused organisations Sparkliv and Goonj to promote conscious consumerism and social impact through the event.

Contests, Food, and Family Activities

Visitors can look forward to a Healthy Baking Contest, spotlighting nutritious and wholesome baked goods created by local baking enthusiasts. The evening will also feature handcrafted and handloom products, organic fruits and vegetables sourced directly from farmers, DIY activities, interactive workshops, and a range of food, fashion, art, home décor, and wellness offerings.

Organisers noted that the edition coincides with Lucknow's celebration of 250 years as a Creative City of Gastronomy, and the market will spotlight the city's culinary heritage alongside its focus on sustainable living and local entrepreneurship.
