Ghaziabad, November 7 (TNA) An explosion inside the Vasundhara police outpost in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area late on Friday night left a food-delivery worker injured and damaged parts of the police facility.
The blast reportedly occurred at around 9 p.m. at the outpost, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Indirapuram police station. The force of the explosion shattered windowpanes, damaged an air-conditioning unit and caused a minor crack in a wall.
Delivery Worker Hurt
A 20-year-old delivery worker, identified as Vishal, was at the outpost to deliver an item when the explosion took place. He sustained injuries from flying pieces of broken glass and was taken to a private hospital in Delhi’s Surya Nagar for treatment. A sub-inspector was also present inside the outpost at the time of the incident. No other injuries were immediately reported.
Cause Under Investigation
Police and forensic teams reached the site and began examining the debris. Officials said the exact nature of the object that caused the explosion would be established only after forensic analysis.
Early reports speculated that an air-conditioner malfunction or fireworks stored at the outpost could have triggered the blast. Investigators, however, have not confirmed either possibility and are examining all angles, including whether the incident was accidental or involved an explosive substance.
